Diannah Reid, (b.1993) is a Dine Artist, Creative Director, Stylist, & Independent Model based in Lenapehoking (New York), formerly known as New York City.

Through an iconogphy of personal and cultural references, Diannah constantly explores Indigenous identity and pride in an increasingly globozied world, around an idea and style she refers to as Colonization. Relentless in her meticulous approach to detail, Diannah takes her patience into grounding herself- immersing herself in the work.

Her recent work, defines her process as ‘‘a practice in time and patience’’, working approximately 100-800 hours on a decently sized piece. Finding words as a limiting form of expression in a visual colorful world, her art serves as a medium to lend her voice in engaging pertinent issues within the Indigenous community and her culture as an Indigenous Woman living in the Urban Life.

She began her work with a Jewish-Woman owned Clothing brand in Crown Heights, Mimu Maxi. The company helped her learn the fashion world and soon to love every aspect of it. She modeled and helped the company with being a Fashion Assistance & a Model.

She also does bead and weaving on her spare time. Picked up as a hobby and uses that to uplift the community, with the money raised.  She continues to bead/weave for local nonprofit organizations & private schools.

She was raised knowing that culture & tradition is vital, especially when people don't want the culture to flourish. Doing these many things with Kin, also strengthens the bond and passes on the ability to continue doing these teachings. She believes that community and building a community is the foundation of Ké (kinship).

Diannah has been honored to work with women-owned brands, independent artist, photographers, models, designers, musicians, creative spaces and local brands, as well as leading figures in the Indigenous community.

Thus always excited when projects allow her to meet new people and travel to new places.
